NEW BUILD
VESSEL “ACHILLES”
North East Safety Boats proudly had the keel laid for Achilles in December 2020, this new flagship vessel will be utilised as a utility vessel with a view to be able to use the vessel across the maritime sector including renewables, oil & gas, and marine civils projects. The design comes from experience from working within these sectors and the demand for a vessel with the attributes to outperform and meet clients demands. Achilles has been designed to work across the maritime sectors with following attributes going into the design and construction of the vessel.
- Towage
- Dive Support
- Survey
- 7 Day Endurance
- 4-Point Mooring
- Large Capacity Deck Crane
- Aft A-Frame

AJAX
This 8m x 4m multicat has recently undergone refurbishment with Manor Marine and has been completed to a high standard with the installation of a bow thruster, like most of our fleet this vessel is road transportable. Ajax has been purposed to accompany the larger pontoon systems to act as a Push Vessel, her large deck and HIAB gives her scope to be used for marine engineering, dredging, and diving projects. Ajax can be fitted with spud leg systems and the Bell 100 dredge pump.

RHIB FLEET:
SEA EAGLE
Part of the Halmatic Family of Vessels the Arctic 22 is one of the most sought after RHIBS in the world. Its design allows for superior sea keeping and handling which vessels on the civilian market would struggle to compete with. Our Arctic 22 underwent an engine upgrade in 2020 with the installation of 2 x Honda 135 outboards allowing for incredible manoeuvrability and acceleration. This larger RHIB is suited for offshore, dive, survey, safety boat/workboat and crew transfer operations.

SEA RIDER
This 5.4m vessel is testament to the RHIB market and helped spearhead the popularity of RHIBs in the industry, used commercially and by the Royal Navy the Avon Searider is an ideal vessel for safety boat operations, with her shallow draft she can be launched and recovered easily and operate in locations with minimal depth.

RIGID RAIDER FLEET:
SEA MINION & SEA GRU
The workhorses of the NESB fleet, we identified quickly that RIBs were not always suitable to the task in hand and invested in our first rigid raider vessel Sea Minion. These vessels offer versatility and a large working deck, designed for beach landings these repurposed vessels have been used by NESB for stores transfers, supporting scaffolders including materials, light towage and pushing, welding platforms and safety boat. We now have two vessels available in our fleet.

SIB FLEET:
BUCKY & GEMINI 1
NESB have 2 x ex-Royal Navy Gemini vessels, these smaller inflatable vessels can be packed into a 4×4 and inflated on site. Often our clients work in locations with restricted access and stretches of water which may be un-navigable for larger vessels. The shallow draft and versatility allow us to provide a solution where we are incapable of utilising other vessels.

PONTOON SYSTEMS:
PLASTIC MODULAR PONTOONS
This lightweight pontoon system comes in 500mm x 500mm cube sections and can be constructed to the clients desired specifications. A great access solution they can be configured to accommodate scaffolding towers and other smaller plant. Stability Calculations and Mooring Analysis can be provided on request.

NATO PONTOONS
This steel modular pontoon system is great for a variety of applications where a more substantial floating platform is required. Each pontoon is a 4.2m x 2.1m being modular the pontoon can be configured to any configuration depending on the application required by the client. NESB have used this pontoon system extensively for site investigation and thruster installations on jack up vessels.
